This is our final rehearsal and unfortunately I had an exam, so I wasn't there for most of the day. After my exam I went back to the studio and Josh told me they made a big change to the scene where I die. Basically after Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Lauren comes on and says her bit and then some music comes on and we all run around trying to escape when the guards are closing in on us. Then I say my line and then Lauren's then I say my last line and escape the laser cage. Then there is a certain 3 loud thumps in the music where I run up onto the level and then get shot. So its crucial that I get the lines in time with the music. Josh showed me how its done a few times, so I can get the hang of it.This was really helpful and I understood it a bit better, than him just telling me. I tried it myself and I was a bit out of time the first time, but we did it a few more times and it worked well in time with the music. I was a bit worried about falling and hurting myself, but I thought I will just go for it on the night, and make it look as dramatic and real as I can.
We also got to see the laser machine for the first time.We looked at some of the issues with it. Its on the stage where all of the Bohemians sit most of the time and where Amy does her scene, so we had to be really careful as there was a lot of wires. But we knew that the lasers were going to look brilliant.
What to do tomorrow:
I have to give it my all. Be really fierce and show lots of power and have lots of energy.
